Our Curriculum Intent 

At Oatlands Infant School we place huge importance on the practical, cross-curricular teaching and learning of science. We aim to nurture the natural curiosity of our pupils through hands-on experiences that encourage them to hypothesise, predict and analyse.

We strive to develop the enquiry and questioning skills needed for life in an increasingly scientific world and to develop vocabulary by teaching above and beyond the expectations of the National Curriculum in an exciting and challenging way.

It is our intention to inspire the children through investigative science lessons so that our pupils will deepen their respect for the natural world and all its phenomena, as well as increase their care and appreciation of it.
