Welcome to Oatlands Infant School

This website is designed to give you an insight into life here at Oatlands. I hope that as you navigate around the site, you get a feeling for a unique, vibrant community where everyone is valued and can achieve their full potential – whatever their talents might be.

We believe that every child – regardless of their background – has a right to an incredible education filled with exciting experiences, both in school and within the community. We have the highest expectations of all children in our care regarding their learning and behaviour, and we take pride in the kindness and compassion shown by all our pupils and staff. Our expectations of pupils to be ‘Ready, Respectful, and Safe’ form the backbone of what makes a successful learner, and we love celebrating childrens’ successes as they demonstrate these dispositions throughout their learning journeys.

As an infant school, we specialise in creating holistic learning experiences that support children in developing into well-rounded, productive members of tomorrow’s society. Our curriculum is broad and balanced, and children learn in a safe space where they can intrepidly take risks and try new things. Learning is not purely academic: we home in on children’s social, emotional, physical and creative needs to ensure that all childrens’ skills are celebrated and all childrens’ needs are met.
