Learning is a partnership between home and school. All parents are welcome to come into school at any time; we pride ourselves on the close communication we have not only with parents but also with the local community.
We keep you informed on school life and future events through the use of our weekly newsletter, our website and through the use of e-mails and text messages. We also have class pages where each teacher can let you know what the children will be learning during the week/term. We also have notice-boards in the playground for displaying information.
We aim to promote a family atmosphere within school and encourage parents to help in the classroom and to share their expertise. There are many ways in which you can become involved in your child’s learning, for instance:
We hold several events during the year to which you, as parents, are invited. These include our harvest festival, Christmas concerts, Carols round the Tree, Easter Parades, May Day family picnic, Sports Afternoon and summer class assemblies.
We encourage parents to help with visits to places out of school. If you can help, please let us know when you receive the letter informing you of the proposed visit.
We believe that volunteers bring with them a range of skills and experience that can enhance the learning opportunities, achievement and enjoyment of children at our school. Volunteers can expect to be involved in a range of activities including:

Please speak to the office or your child’s class teacher if you think you could spare some time to share with us.
