Penguins will still be doing PE on a Friday. Please send your child in weather appropriate PE kit on Fridays as we try to go outside where possible!
TTRS (Times table rock stars) practice is a fun way that children can practice their times tables at home. Each child has a sticker inside their planner with their personal log in details. Please speak to Miss Mogg if you need a new copy of these details. Hit the button is also a great way to practice concepts like halving, doubling and number bonds.
Home Readers
When you read with your child at home, please write a comment to that effect (or just your initials) in the school planner. Please try and read with your child each day, even if it’s only a couple of pages or for a few minutes, every little helps. We will aim to read with your child at least once a week in school. If your child needs a new book during the week, they can pass their book and planner to Mrs Irvine who will change it for them.

BIG RE DAY!
BIG RE DAY.
We had a fabulous and very crafty day today as it was RE day! Penguins learnt all about Islam including religious practices such as the five pillars of Islam. We made some fantastic Mosques! Then we went to teach Koalas and Giraffes about Islam and they taught us about Christianity and Sikhism.Take a look at our display! Thank you to Ameer's mum who supported us to learn about Islam with a super video.

Before the half term holiday we began our new unit of Computing : Digital photography.
We went into our beautiful wildlife garden and practised taking photos on an Ipad.
the children had to take a range of different photos including action shots; a person; a close up of an object; something in the distance and a selfie. Of course selfies were our favourite!
