  • ZooLab visit KS1

    On the Wednesday before the Easter break, ZooLab visited Year 1 and Year 2 children with an assortment of animals for them to meet and handle. There was a rat, centipede and snake to name but a few.
  • Walk in the Woods

    On Monday and Tuesday this week KS1 went for a walk in the woods to spot the animals that live there. They had to find an animal or insect, describe where it lived and what it ate. They had a great time and the weather although cold stayed fine.

  • Valentine Day Cake Stall

    Thank you to everyone who baked, bought and helped at the Valentine Day cake stall. We now have some great light pads. The children are getting a lot of pleasure from them
  • Harrogate Racquet Club

    On Wednesday Year 2 visited Harrogate Racquet Club where they had a try at table tennis and tennis.
  • Story Teller Visit

    On Monday 29th February, Keith Donnelly from Settle Stories visited the school for Book Week. The children really enjoyed his stories. Mr Donnelly started and ended each class story and the children added the middle.
  • World Book Day

    The children came dressed as their favourite book characters on World Book Day. Even the staff dressed up to!
  • Donkeys Cake Stall

    Thank you to everyone who baked, bought and helped on the Donkeys cake stall. As you can see from the picture, Miss Raymont has now spent the money on various items for the classroom.
  • Ducklings have Tweeted Tim Peake

    Four of the Ducklings made a space rocket with a picture of Tim Peake looking out of the window. We have tweeted this to him on the space station. You never know, we may get a reply!
  • Twisters and Bikes

    At the end of last year we placed an order for 5 Twisters and 2 Bikes which arrived at the beginning of this year. Thank you to the PTA for funding this play equipment. The children are really enjoying them.
  • Traditional Tales

    KS1 children are listening to and talking about Traditional Tales with plenty of hands-on activities where they will look at characters, plot, problems and resolutions. We launched this area of learning on Monday 11thJanuary with a themed day. We shared lots of exciting activities throughout the day in school. After lots of practical experience and discussion over the following few weeks, we will begin to retell stories and plan and write our own versions.
