    On Thursday a very special visitor came to school while the children were practicing for their carol concert.
  • Saint Michael’s Hospice

    On Wednesday the Singing after-school club visited Saint Michael’s Hospice to sing Christmas carols to the patients. It was a lovely afternoon with the children and patients all enjoying themselves.
  • Christmas Lunch

    A traditional Christmas lunch was served on Tuesday. A very big thank you to Mrs Robinson, Mrs Bussey and Mrs Charlesworth for all their hard work. It was such a success.
  • North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service visit

    On Thursday a Fire Engine visited the reception children in school. They all got the chance to have a look at the Fire Engine and to sit in the cab. They also received a talk on the dangers of fire and how to prevent them.
  • Christmas Cake Making

    The school has smelt heavenly this week and very much like Christmas as the Year 1 and Year 2 children have been making Christmas Cakes.

  • Harvest Tea

    The Harvest Tea was very well attended and our local senior citizens appeared to have a lovely time. There were sandwiches and cakes supplied by the Reception parents and the Reception children sang some Harvest songs.
  • New arrivals! 8 Little chicks hatch in the Puffins classroom

    This week has seen some exciting new arrivals in the Puffins classroom. We are delighted to have 8 little chicks. The children have been visiting and watching them hatch. After seeing the chicks, Alfie made a model of a chick.
  • Mixed Year 1/2 Football Competition Final

    On Thursday the green team attended the finals of the mixed football competition at Harrogate High School and we are delighted to announce that they won the competition. Well done to Eleanor, Elizabeth, James, Will, Zach, Ben, Ollie and Henry.
  • The Big Sunflower Competition 2015

    Please find below the results from the first annual Oatlands Infant School Big Sunflower Competition. In reverse order… 3rd place goes to Mitchell Knight – Ducklings – 137cm. Joint 2nd place goes to Joey Fell – Owls and Alfie Bray – Red Kites at 155cm each and the 1st place winner – Alfie Simpson – Ducklings – a whopping 195 cm!

    Mrs Robson will present Alfie with his prize next week, well done.
