Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We have been awarded the Modeshift Stars Green Award this week for our work on active travel. Not only do we want our children to be more active but we strive to make the roads around school a safer place to be.
The children in Key Stage One had a fabulous afternoon performing for their families in our Carol Concert at St. Mark's Church. Thank you to and everyone who came for a truly festive time. We even had a surprise visitor attend after hearing all the amazing singing!
We had a fabulous joint Christmas Fair on Sunday with Oatlands Junior School. It was full of festive cheer and everyone had a great time. We are still counting what was raised but the PTA and school are so grateful for everyone’s support.

The Year 1 children were lucky enough to have a visit from Suzie at Enchantica to do some Storybook Yoga with them based on the book Funnybones. They all really enjoyed taking part in this mindful experience, so a huge thank you to Suzie for coming!
Some of our School Council members had a fabulous day at Harlow Carr today at the celebration event for us achieving the Healthy Schools Gold Award. We have been working hard at Oatlands on ensuring we have healthy bodies and minds so achieving this award is recognition of everything we do here to nurture our children and promote positive lifestyles and wellbeing. Below are some photographs from the day and the different workshops the children got to take part in. We were the youngest children to take part but as always, our children were a credit to the school.
We are proud supporters of 'Breast Cancer Now' and are happy to share that this year we have raised a fantastic £238 for this worthy cause.
This week every class in school has had the opportunity to attend a mini first aid session. The children learnt lots of important first aid skills including how to put a person into the recovery position, how to call for an ambulance, what to do if someone bumps their head and how to safely apply a plaster.
This week we have had the pleasure of welcoming lots of our adults into school to show off all our amazing work and our lovely classrooms.
