Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our Harvest collection. The items were well received by the Harrogate Food Bank and they are so grateful that they can help so many families with your donations.
The Reception children put on an amazing performance at St Mark's Church for their Harvest Celebrations and made us all very proud.
Today was our first 'Wear it Red- Show Racism the Red Card' day in school. Everybody dressed up in red to help raise money for this fantastic anti-racism charity. We are proud to say we raised a magnificent £262.00.
Good morning Parents/Carers
I am sure that by now you will have heard of the incredibly sad news regarding the passing of our Queen, Elizabeth II. I am sorry that my first communication of the school year is under these circumstances, but I am sure that, as a school community, you will join us in this period of mourning and in also sending our sincere condolences to members of the Royal Family.
As a school, we will be reflecting on our Jubilee celebrations from earlier this year and celebrating the life of the Queen. Obviously, we will look back at Her Majesty’s reign with sensitivity and in an age-appropriate manner.
We are still awaiting news from the Cabinet Office regarding the national period of mourning and how this will affect us, but for now, The Queen and all those who have been touched by this tragic news will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Kind regards
Zoe Anderson

On Wednesday 20th July, Year 2 had great fun at their Leavers Disco dancing and singing along to all their favourite tunes!
Our Sports Day was a huge success this year after not being able to hold one for the past three years. The children were not put off by the rain shower we had mid way through and all worked incredibly hard across the different activities. We were so pleased to work collaboratively with the Sports Leaders from both Oatlands Junior School and St Aidan's High School to ensure everything ran smoothly. Thank you to all the parents and carers who came to support the event and cheer the children on and well done to the Red Team for being the winners this year!
We made the local news this week with our fabulous fundraising at our joint Summer Fair with Oatlands Junior School! Read about it on the Your Harrogate website here:

On Wednesday, we were delighted to welcome the St. Aidan's Junior Band to perform for us in a special assembly. Mrs Elliott introduced us to the different instrument families and led the band in a varied repertoire, including 'Theme from the Muppet Show', 'Mambo Number 5', and 'Theme from Star Wars'. They finished with a fabulous disco medley and the children (and teachers!) loved doing the actions to 'YMCA'. What a fabulous experience of live music for the children!
To end our day of Jubilee fun, we all gathered in the playground to sing and sign 'God Save the Queen' and 'Here's to the Queen' to our adults. By the sound of the loud applause they were very impressed.
Over the last week, we have had lots of fun in school learning all about the Queen and making lots of Jubilee art.
To kick-off our Jubilee Party day, we were very lucky to have Emma Carrington, an mezzo-soprano, join us in assembly to sing 'Rule Britannia'. We were all mesmerised by her fantastic singing.
