Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Yum, yum, yum! We have been amazed by the creative cake decorating for our Jubilee Cake Competition. A big well done to all the children who entered. We hope they tasted as good as they looked!
We have just received confirmation that we have achieved the Gold Healthy Schools Award in recognition of everything we do to keep our children and staff physically and mentally healthy. We are very proud of the achievement and thanks to Mrs Brayshaw for all her work on this.
The children in Reception took part in their Spring Festivals for parents this week which included Maypole dancing and an Easter bonnet parade.
Today in assembly we had a very special visitor... the Easter Bunny! He came to tell us all about the Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt that is happening over the Easter holidays. We were all very excited and lots of us are hoping to go and help the Easter Bunny find all his lost eggs.
On Tuesday 22nd March, Harrogate Fire and Rescue service visited Year 2 with their new skylark engine. Firefighter Lee taught us all about fire safety before each class went out to see the skylark. The highlight was when the ladder was fully extended, it was even taller than our school!
Today, we dressed up as our favourite heroes and real life heroes to help raise money for Comic Relief and show that we all have the power to make a difference. As you can see we looked super!
We had a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day in school. All our lessons were book themed with lots of exciting surprises including an Oatlands Masked Reader quiz and a visit from Your Harrogate radio station! You can visit their web page at:

We learnt lots of interesting facts and even got to hold some of the animals!
From Monday 7th to Friday 11th February it has been Children's Mental Health Week and in school we have been doing a lot of work on recognising different emotions and what we can do to support us when we have difficult feelings.
Today the children enjoyed a special lunch to celebrate Lunar New Year! A big thank you to our cook, Miss Morrell and her team.
