On Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd, the children in Years 1 and 2 took part in Victorian Day to learn about the history of our school. They dressed up in Victorian dress and got to experience what life would be like in the classroom, at playtime and below stairs! The children thoroughly enjoyed their day.
On Friday 8th October, we encouraged as many of you as possible to walk to school to try an limit carbon emissions along with help us all stay healthy! The event was hugely successful for Zero Carbon Harrogate and support from the Council, Mayor and MP!
Oatlands Infants came 6th in the leaderboard of schools across the Harrogate District for walking to school and the most improved school from the last Walk to School event, so well done Oatlands!
On Friday 24th September the children came to school dressed in green to raise awareness of Mitochondrial Disease and much needed funds for The Lily Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we raised over £500 for this worthwhile cause!
On Thursday 22nd July we finally managed to get together out on the field for a school picnic. It was lovely to bring our school community together after what has been a very difficult year. The weather was kind and lots of fun was had by all!
Today was Big R.E. day in school. Every class spent the day learning about the role light plays in different religions. Below is just a snapshot of the amazing work we produced.
Today we’ve had lots of fun in school dressing up in spots and Pudsey Bear ears to raise money for BBC Children in Need. I’m sure you’ll agree we all look unBEARably cute! We have been amazed by the generosity of our families and have raised a humongous £373 for this incredible cause.
