  • Christmas Fair

    We had an amazing turn out for our Christmas Fair on Sunday 8th December.  It was a wonderful community event and we have raised lots of money to fund projects within school so thank you!
  • Opening of Harrogate Christmas Market 2019

    The children in Red Kites had a fabulous morning visiting the opening of the Harrogate Christmas Market.  They even got to meet Santa!  Watch the video here:

  • Autism Awareness Week

    To support Autism Awareness Week the children all about autism through age appropriate activities and on Friday 5th April came to school dressed in their favourite colour. We certainly saw quite a spectrum of colours.

  • Thackray Medical Museum

    Fri 01 Feb 2019
    Year 2 visited the Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds as part of their topic on Florence Nightingale.  They spent time in the life zone in the morning, learning hands on about how the human body works. In the afternoon they travelled back in time with Florence Nightingale to 1854 where they helped to improve hospital conditions at Scutari. 
  • Larchfield Manor Care Home Link

    As part of our work on promoting links with the local community and taking inspiration from the TV programme “Old peoples home for four year olds”, we have developed a relationship with Larchfield Manor Care Home.  Over the coming weeks all the children will have the chance to visit, half a class at a time, to meet the residents and take part in different activities. 
  • Applying for a Primary School place or transfer to Junior school

    If you are a parent or carer of a child living in North Yorkshire, who is eligible to start primary school (i.e. a child born between 1 Sep 2014 and 31 Aug 2015 inclusive) or transfer from infant to junior school (i.e. a child born between 1 Sep 2011 and 31 Aug 2012) during the academic year 2018 / 2019, you will need to apply online for a primary school place at www.northyorks.gov.uk/admissions.
